With reference to the recent decision by the Court of Rome who convicted the directors of an Italian Company for culpable homicide following the killing by terrorists of two workers in a unsecure area, Mr Padovan explained the nature of the obligations and liabilities of Italian companies in respect to the adequate protection of workers abroad as far as security risks are concerned. In particular he focused on civil, criminal, administrative issues and liability of corporate entities pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001.
