PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Born in Paris in 1977, Myriam Desnus studied in France and qualified in Italy.
She started her legal practice in Milan in 2005 and was admitted to the Milan Bar in 2011. Her activity – involving, inter alia, procedural and substantive profiles of internationality – initially focused on litigation, commercial, corporate, M&A and privacy matters. Over the years, her expertise also extended to the construction field and to arbitration (with specific reference to commercial and construction fields).
She joined Studio Legale Padovan in October 2020.AREAS OF PRACTICE
Myriam’s main focus is on private procurements in the field of construction and large infrastructure projects, assisting leading Italian construction companies both in Italy and abroad, and aiding in arbitration disputes for Italian companies and foreign companies and entities.EDUCATION
She obtained a double degree in law with specialization in Italian law (Maîtrise Droit International et Communautaire and Diplôme d’Etudes Juridiques Appliquées – Droit Italien Niveau II) and then a postgraduate degree specializing in International and European law (DEA Droit des relations économiques internationales et communautaires) at the University Paris X-Nanterre (now University Paris Nanterre UPX).
During the 2000-2001 academic year, she represented her University at the Charles Rousseau Mock Trial Competition (2001 edition), winning the national final and being awarded the prize for the best memoirs of the national trials together with her team.
In 2008 she obtained in Italy the title of Mediator for Civil and Commercial Disputes.SELECTED ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
She was a member of the Commercial Law Practice Commission of ICC Italia from November 2018 until December 2021.
She is a member of AIJA (International Association of Young Lawyers) and a member of the Executive Committee as of August 2020.
She taught, as enseignant vacataire, at the University Paris Nanterre UPX to students undertaking a double degree in law with specialization in Italian law
