Pierluigi Salvati

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Born in 1982, Pierluigi started his legal practice in 2005. He worked for about ten years for an international boutique law firm with offices in Italy and the USA, mainly dealing with civil law, commercial law, and conflict of laws. He was admitted to the bar in March 2009 and is registered with the Salerno Bar Association. He has been collaborating with Studio Legale Padovan since 2020.

SPECIALIZATION AREAS
His activity is focused on the areas of international trade law, European Union law; drafting of national and international commercial contracts and related litigation; export control and international economic sanctions.

EDUCATION
He graduated in Law in 2005 at the ‘Federico II’ University of Naples.
In 2007 he obtained the Master in Legal Advanced World Studies (“LAWS”) at the LUISS Guido Carli in Rome
In 2011 he obtained a PhD in International Order and Human Rights Protection from the University of Naples ‘Federico II’, spending research periods at the London School of Economics and Political Sciences in London (UK) and New York University (USA).
In 2015 he attended the specialization course on European Union Applied Law at the University of Salerno.

SELECTED ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Adjunct Professor of International and European Union Law at the Link Campus University of Rome.
He taught supplementary courses on International Law at the Department of Political Sciences of the University of Naples ‘Federico II’.
He spoke at national and international conferences on international and European Union law.

PUBLICATIONS
He is the author of numerous publications focusing on international investments. immunity from jurisdiction, principle of non-intervention, intelligence collection and disarmament.
