PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Mario Alfonzo was born in Rome in 1993. After graduating in Law in 2018, he worked for several years with an important consulting law firm, specialising in customs law and international trade. He also dealt with international fisheries agreements during his internship at the Italian Court of Auditors.
Mario has been collaborating with Studio Legale Padovan since December 2021 as a member of the Trade Compliance Team.
AREAS OF PRACTICE
Mario deals mainly with customs law and international trade matters, concentrating on export controls and restrictive measures on goods in international trade.
EDUCATION
Mario graduated in Law from the University “LUISS Guido Carli” in Rome. During his studies he deepened the issues related to International and European Union law, discussing a thesis on International Organisations entitled “Euro-Mediterranean Integration: from the Barcelona Declaration to the Union for the Mediterranean”. During his university years he also expanded his knowledge of the military world through his participation in the program “Multinational Battle Group West Joint Enterprise Kosovo Summer School”, organised by the University “LUISS Guido Carli” in collaboration with the Italian Army.
SELECTED ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES
Between 2019 and 2020, he collaborated with the online magazine “Report Difesa”, dealing with geopolitics and international relations, in particular, with energy relations between the EU and Russia.
