Italy is living a dramatic moment in its history. A succession of Law Decrees, Decrees of the President of the Council of Ministers, Decrees of the President of the Republic, Decrees issued by the Local Authorities (Regions and Municipalities) to reduce the diffusion of the virus heavily affect many aspects of our lives. Many of them are related to international trade and to the legal position of individuals. Besides the most obvious debate on the qualification of COVID-19 as a force majeure or a hardship event, further elements must be taken into account in order to assess the impact of this epidemiological emergency.
