PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Maria Pelosi was born in Milan in 1997 and began her legal career at Studio Legale Padovan in 2024 after previously completing a traineeship in Rome, where she focused on civil and administrative law. In 2023 she also worked as an analyst for the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs at the United Nations, gaining valuable international experience.

EDUCATION
In April 2022, Maria obtained a master’s degree in law from LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome specialising in International Law. In October 2023 she gained an LLM in Public International Law and Human Rights from Utrecht University, Netherlands. In her master’s thesis Maria analysed the challenges faced by the International Criminal Court in recognising ecocide as the fifth core crime in the Rome Statute, comparing it with the ecocide proposal at European level.
